Charlene Maldonado

Charlene became a steadfast advocate for victims of abuse and neglect within the child welfare system of Dougherty County in 2014.

Charlene’s expertise in child development enables her to recognize the unique needs of each child. Her commitment ensures that the highest quality of advocacy is delivered to those in foster care, providing them not only with a voice but a lifeline.

Before taking the helm as Executive Director in May 2023, Charlene was the Program Director for eight years, where she played an instrumental role in the day-to-day operations of Dougherty County CASA. She has been the driving force behind the recruitment and training of passionate volunteers and managed vital grant resources that sustain our mission. Moreover, her efforts were crucial in establishing Dougherty County CASA as an independent 501(c)(3) organization, a significant milestone for our community.

Charlene's journey reflects her diverse background in finance and her academic studies in Psychology and Art Education. This unique blend of experiences enriches her advocacy work, allowing her to approach every challenge with both compassion and strategic insight.

Advocacy Director

Quinn Roberts

Quinn Roberts—a dedicated Court Appointed Special Advocate who has passionately served the Dougherty County Juvenile Court since 2019. Quinn’s journey in advocacy began in 2019, when she committed herself to working with CASA by supporting the most vulnerable members of our community.

With a strong foundation in Social Work, Quinn has consistently expanded her knowledge and expertise in child advocacy. She has undergone extensive training, including CASA Pre-Service Facilitation and Volunteer Supervision, as well as specialized training in Mandated Reporting, Safe Sleep, and trauma-informed practices. These skills have equipped her to navigate the complexities of working with foster children, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are met.

Quinn's role as the Advocacy Director highlights her leadership and commitment to fostering change. Since 2019, she has worked tirelessly to create a supportive environment for children, advocating for their rights, welfare, and educational needs. Her dedication has not only impacted individual lives but has also strengthened our community’s commitment to protecting and empowering our youth.

Advocacy Supervisor

Zoye Clark

Zoye Clark is our Advocacy Supervisor at CASA. Zoye joined our CASA family during the 2018-2019 period, bringing with her a passion for service and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of at-risk youth. Proudly standing as an alumna of Alabama A&M—Go Bulldogs!—Zoye has always embraced the spirit of determination and excellence.

During her initial time with CASA, Zoye immersed herself in the mission of advocating for those who need it most. After gaining valuable experience working with at-risk youth at Job Corps, she returned in 2024, eager to share her newfound knowledge and expertise with us. This speaks volumes about her dedication to our cause and her unwavering belief in the power of advocacy.

As the main volunteer recruiter for Dougherty CASA, Zoye has made it her mission to inspire and empower others to join our efforts. She hosts our CASA 101 virtual sessions on the first Fridays of every month, as well as our engaging CASA 101 gatherings on the last Saturdays at Morning Café. These sessions are not only informational; they are a gateway for compassionate individuals to become advocates for children in need.

Advocacy Supervisor

Amanda Diaz

From Public Servant to Advocacy Supervisor, Amanda Diaz is truly a jack of all trades, bringing an impressive array of experience to our organization. With five years of dedicated service as a 911 Operator for the City of Albany and Dougherty County, she possesses a unique insight into public affairs. In addition, her strong background in financial operations and taxes ensures she has the skills to navigate complex systems effectively.

Amanda’s educational journey began in the realm of first responders, where her commitment to service and community began to flourish. On top of that, she is a local real estate agent, showcasing her ability to connect with individuals and families alike. Amanda is thrilled to be part of CASA's mission. Connecting with new faces and supporting our community fills her with purpose. She looks forward to training new volunteers and onboarding them into the program.

Amanda is genuinely excited about this journey in child advocacy, where she aims to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
